What can i do? I have tried editing the boot.ini file to no avail so i'm stuck on a reboot loop. :x

How can i start again?

Cheers. :)

Ok, i got back into windows setup by restoring the boot.ini file. Should i edit the boot.ini file before attempting to reinstall windows? I tried each of the first four disk partitions.

[Boot Loader]
Timeout=30
Default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(0)\WINDOWS
[Operating Systems]
C:\$WIN_NT$.~BT\BOOTSECT.DAT = "1st, text mode setup (Boot from flash again after finished)"
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(1)\WINDOWS="2nd, GUI mode setup, continue setup + 1st start of Windows" /fastdetect
C:\ = "---> DEBUG, in case of HAL.DLL or NTOSKRNL.EXE not found errors <---"
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Debug boot rDisk 1 partition 2" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(3)\WINDOWS="Debug boot rDisk 1 partition 3" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(1)partition(4)\WINDOWS="Debug boot rDisk 1 partition 4" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(2)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Debug boot rDisk 2 partition 1" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(2)partition(2)\WINDOWS="Debug boot rDisk 2 partition 2" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(2)partition(3)\WINDOWS="Debug boot rDisk 2 partition 3" /fastdetect
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(2)partition(4)\WINDOWS="Debug boot rDisk 2 partition 4" /fastdetect

I tried this method as well http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jvMkt9fkHCI

But the file could not be found. Is that cause it can't extract from a usb drive? If there's no simple solution i'll just get a dvd drive. Cheers. :)

I sorted it but now it's going to the next stage and stopping. Is this normal. First i just got a blue screen, second it's at the installing windows part but it's just stopped again. Do i just keep rebooting until it goes through? Thanks.

Oh, last time i created a partition but this time i just formatted the entire 500gb hd! :o Please tell me i'm on the right track! :D

I created a new usb installation and it worked but since the first reboot it's not been able to get past boot. It goes to the 'We apologize for the inconvenience' black screen. If i start windows it gets as far as the windows xp spash screen and reboots.

This is the same issue i was having initially which lead me to try wintoflash. Can't boot into XP.

Seems like something else is going on here but i'm not sure what. It's been a while since i've used XP so i don't if it's me or the OS. I don't think it's a hardware issue cause i'm able to install windows initially. Any ideas?

Specs are:

Asus M4A78LT-M LE mobo
AMD Phenom X2 560be
500gb Seagate Barracuda sata hd
4gb Corsair DDR3 ram

Cheers!
