Post Setup has determined drive is corrupted
Hi,

When I try to boot and install Windows XP Pro SP3 from my USB flash drive, it works fine until it checks my hard drives, but then it claims my D: drive is corrupted, when I am pretty sure it is not. I have ran chkdsk and it has shown no errors, and the drive has worked fine otherwise up until now.

It would be fine if I could just somehow have the setup somehow just not detect my D: drive, as I use it for storage anyways. Any help would be appreciated.

"Setup has determined that drive D: is corrupted and cannot be repaired."

Good day!

Your D: drive is a drive on your HDD, right?

I have this same problem on my laptop. It thinks there is something wrong with my C: drive. I chcdsk it and ran through virus detection. Everything is fine.

Hi,
Some flash drives do not have the ability to transfer files at the speed that is necessary to do things like installing operating systems. Finding a higher speed flash drive should fix this problem

There may be an easy method for fixing this, if you run a uefi bios, or similar, just change the onboard handling mode from ahci to ide mode

or in my case when it asks where to install windows (leave partition or format from fat to ntfs)

press ESC
this then loads screen to select harddrive and partition to install windows.. when you look closley the USB wants to install to the USB not to the netbooks harddrive !!
